December Daily Cover for Southern Girls Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to my final 2014 reveal for Southern Girls Challenge. Don't worry...I'll be back with more great inspiration for them in 2015.  We were asked to inspire you with projects that had a Christmas theme.  I am here today sharing my December Daily cover!
I started with the layout sketch over at Stuck?Sketches.  Since they do layouts I'm not sure I can enter it into their challenge, but I'll take inspiration where-ever I can get it and my mojo has been laking lately.  I flipped the sketch on it's side and went from there.
Except for the red ribbon, bling and possibly the snowman (can't remember which pack he was in) all the products are part of the Simple stories DIY collection.  I can't get enough of this collection.  I think it's one of my favorite Christmas ones of all time. I inked all the paper edges with my prima inkers in green to make them pop off the craft cover.
So tell me...what is your favorite Christmas paper collection past or present?
    Until next time...Keep Scrappin!

Carousel Ride for Child's Play Challenge

Welcome our final reveal for Child's Play Challenge :-(  I am so sad to see this challenge blog closing as I've loved my time with them, and how it's challenged me to think outside the box.  I hope you'll come over and give us a great send off by having the most entries we've ever had!  We love seeing your support of our creations and efforts.
Our theme this go round is the classic Lite Bright.  I had one as a girl, but didn't have any photos of me playing with it.  I choose to use photos of our son's first carousel ride with twinkling lights in the background.
These papers, and embellishments, are from the older My Minds Eye collection The Sweetest Things - Bluebell. All the papers on this page are from the 6x6 paper pad....love how the smaller patterns let you layer without being overwhelming.
The tag was originally ivory, but with some antique linen and faded jeans Tim Holtz distress ink I was able to create a hue close to what was in the papers.  Some vellum star stickers and ink drops and I had a perfectly simple, but stunning page.
     Until next time...Keep Scrappin!

3x3 Christmas Meander Album

Hi everyone and welcome to my second guest post for the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from Lisa's blog.
The idea of this hop is to give you 12 days of inspiration to get those Christmas projects done.  You may see cards, layouts, mini albums, altered items or home decor...you'll have to visit each day to not miss a thing.
For my project today I chose to make a 3x3 meander album with a Christmas theme.  I have been sick with bronchitis so I made you a video...Thanks for understanding!

Now before you head off to Scrappin Madge's I'd love if you followed me here and on my Facebook page (link on the sidebar).  If you follow me already please know how honored that makes me feel...I appreciate all of you!
  Until next time...Keep Scrapping!

Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop And Child's Play Challenge Reveal

Hi everyone and welcome to the Scrapbook Generation blog hop for December teamed with my December 1st reveal for Child's Play Challenge.  If you're hopping along with Scrapbook Generation you should have arrived here from Laura's blog.  If you're here for the Child's Play Challenge reveal, or would just like to join the hop, please start at Scrapbook Generation's blog.
For the hop we were asked to use any sketch by Scrapbook Generation.  For Child's Play Challenge we were asked to use the movie Polar Express for inspiration.  Since both reveals were on the same day I challenged myself to combine them.
I have never seen Polar Express so I decided to use blue for my main color like the cover of the movie.  The cover also had a train coming almost right out of it and that's where I decided to merge the two things.  I chose the October 2014 free sketch since it also has photos coming out of one corner.  The photos are from 2012 wacky week at our son's daycare.
You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.   Now before you head on over to Penny's blog I'd love for you to follow me here, with bloglovin and on Facebook.  Alsoleave a comment on each blog and one lucky commenter will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store.
The winner will be drawn on Monday, December 8th which leaves you one week to leave a comment.
I am also entering this for the Lasting Memories DT call

     Until next time...Keep Scrappin!
